Prof. Dr. Harkristuti Harkrisnowo, S.H., M.A., is the Vice-Chair of the Indonesian Academy of Sciences (AIPI) for the 2023–2028 term. As a Professor of Criminal Law, she is an expert on human rights and the reform of the legal system in Indonesia. She is active in the National Law Commission (KHN) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
After completing her undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia (FHUI) in 1979, she went on to pursue a Master’s programme at the University of Indonesia, followed by a Doctoral programme at Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, Texas, USA. In 2020, she was appointed as a Member of the Indonesian Academy of Sciences within the Social Sciences Commission.
